The NQ Series industrial portable chillers use components such as scroll compressors, microchannel condensers, low noise fans, stainless steel brazed plate evaporators, and NQ Series PLC controls with large color touch screens to provide the best available technologies for the ultimate performance and reliability in a chiller package.

Now available - the Accuchiller NQV Series with variable speed scroll compressors. Available on 5 to 30 ton (18 kW to 109 kW) sizes for even more efficiency.

About NQ Series Air Cooled Chillers

Thermal Care designs, manufactures, and tests 5 ton (18 kW) packaged water chillers in Niles, Illinois, USA. These industrial grade packaged chillers are manufactured to meet the nationally recognized UL Listed requirements. 5 ton (18kW) chillers are configured for air-cooled applications. Stationary, portable, and outdoor designs are available to accommodate virtually all process cooling heat removal requirements.

The term “packaged” refers to a chiller containing a refrigeration circuit along with a tank, pump, and evaporator built within the same frame.

The packaged 5 ton (18 kW) model NQA05 air-cooled water chiller includes a hermetic scroll compressor using EPA approved low GWP R-454B refrigerant or energy efficient R-410A refrigerant. The fluid circuit including evaporator, centrifugal pump, tank, and flow safety switch are all nonferrous metals such as stainless steel, copper, and bronze. Tanks are insulated with lid, fill port, level sight glass and include a bypass flow valve. The chiller comes standard with PLC controls and large color touch screen to provide advanced diagnostics and precise temperature control. Refrigeration components also include electronic expansion valves, sight glass/moisture indicators, filter drier and fan cycling head pressure controls. Chiller safety controls include high and low refrigerant pressure, high and low fluid temperature, low water flow, thermal overloads for compressor and fan motors, safety fuses or overloads for pump. Finally all of these features are enclosed in a welded steel powder coated frame with full metal cabinet.
